Returning scores

If you sing with us during a rehearsal, chanced are that you have borrowed some scores. Please read this information on how to return the scores or other items that you might have borrowed. You may be invoiced to cover the cost of replacing any scores or other items that you have not returned.

  1. You may come to a rehearsal and return it to a committee member.
  2. You may post the score to AUCS (the postal address is at the bottom of this page).
  3. You may post it to the librarian (ask the librarian at librarian@aucs.org.au) for an address.
  4. You may arrange another method with the librarian (email librarian@aucs.org.au).

Please do not simply drop by the Clubs Assocation (CA) and put it into our pigeon hole. We wouldn't get a record, and anybody can walk by and pick it up.

Sometimes, if the score was originally sourced from another choir or another library, it might be possible to return the score directly to that choir or library. If you choose this method, please email the librarian first, so that we have a record of this transit and don't chase you down for "missing" scores.

Please remember that it costs us money to print scores, and that it costs us money to hire scores from libraries or from other choirs. We hire from interstate and we purchase from overseas. You can imagine that the cost of shipping boxes and boxes of books can be quite significant, so please understand our position.

When you return scores to us, we can return them to their original choir/library. This maintains our reputation and allows us to borrow again. Other choirs and libraries would not want to lend scores to us if we have a record of losing scores. If we're asked to cover the cost of replacing missing scores, that cost will fall to you, the individual who borrowed the missing scores.
